"DID YOU KNOW THAT NON-COMMERCIAL USE OF EQ-5D IS FOR FREE, AFTER REGISTRATION?"

EQ-5D was developed by researchers of the EuroQol Group Association. The EuroQol Research Foundation is a Dutch non-profit organisation (ANBI) tasked with making EQ-5D and other EuroQol instruments available to users all over the world. The Association and Foundation are often referred to jointly as EuroQol.

ANBI

The Stichting EuroQol Research Foundation has been granted the status of Charitable Institution, in Dutch Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling (ANBI), since January 1st, 2014. Shown below is information that an ANBI should make public. Please contact us if you have questions, or require more information.

Association and Foundation

The EuroQol Group first met in 1987 with aim of developing a standardized non-disease specific instrument to describe and value health-related quality of life. A process based on shared development, local experimentation and lively discussion in the Group resulted in EQ-5D, a measure that generates a single index value for health status with considerable potential for use in health care evaluation.
EQ-5D was initially developed simultaneously in Dutch, English, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish. It is now widely used around the world and has been translated into most major languages through a closely monitored translation process.
EQ-5D is supported by two organizations: the EuroQol Group Association and the EuroQol Research Foundation, often referred to jointly as EuroQol.

Vision and mission

To serve the public benefit, and without an aim for profit, the EuroQol Group Association and EuroQol Research Foundation aim to improve decisions about health and health care throughout the world by developing, making available and supporting the use of instruments with the widest possible applicability for the measurement and valuation of health.
